Speaking to Ghana Hot News, the GPRTU chairman of Yeji Mr. Oppong Agyera lamented that s he receives daily complaints and reports about the activities of armed robbers attacking passengers and drivers thereby making life uncomfortable for them and unsafe for them to go about their daily activities.
He further lamented that they have reported numerous of such cases to the police and are yet to receive any relieving response from them.
Some of the drivers and victims disclosed that the robbers usually dress like mad men walking around and as soon as they hear the sound of a car engine then they attack and open fire indiscriminately.
The robbers they said mostly use sophisticated weapons and ammunition such as AK-47 thereby making them vulnerable.
They took the opportunity to appeal to the government and the Inspector General of Police to come to their aid.
