‘Government Should Come To Our Aid’ – Apagya Manhene Appeals


In recent timed, citizens have now become more conscious if their personal security and not leaving any aspect of their lives to chance.

It is at the back of this that Amoah Apagya Manhene has built a police station for his locality in Apagya and its environs in the Afigya Kwabere District of the Ashanti Region.

In an interview with Ghana Hot News at his palace, Nana Owusu Peprah II the Amoah Apagya Manhene lamented about the numerous challenges facing the district in the area of security, unemployment, social amenities. Nana says these challenges has compelled him to build a police station in his town to ensure law and order in the town.

Even though the police station is yet to be commissioned, Nana took the opportunity to appeal to the government of the day to help him commission the project and also allocate police personnel to the area.

Also he appealed to government to augment their efforts by helping them to build a police residence for the police personnel so that the policemen who will be deployed to the area will have places to stay and provide effective security for them.

The Chief added that there is a parcel of land ready for the building and also stressed that they have (2000) two thousand blocks and some sand available to be added for the construction if government comes to their aid.

According to Nana Owusu Peprah II he said they have several acres of land available for the government to use for the one district on factory projects and any other project that the government or investors wants to assist them with to improve the livelihood of his people.

Nana concluded by appealing passionately to individuals, organizations, investors and government to come to their aid to help alleviate the plight of his people so as to minimize the joblessness and the migration of his people to the urban centres for non existent jobs.
